We believe you should always know what data we collect from you and how we use it, and that you should have a meaningful control over both. We want to empower you to make the best decisions about the information that you share with us.

That's the basic purpose of our Privacy Policy.

You should read the policy in full here, but here are the key things we hope you take away from it:
  • Atlas Industries is public and is immediately viewable and searchable by anyone around the world. We give you non-public ways to communicate on the forums and as well as the wiki through Private messages, provided emails, and talk pages. You can also use Atlas Industries under a pseudonym if you prefer not to use your name.
  • By registering to our forum and/or wiki, you are to provide a username, password, and an email address during sign up. The username and password are what you use to sign in to your account over time while the email address is there to send a confirmation link to let us know you're human.
    • Our wiki uses the MediaWiki software that upon registration, you have access to the preferences special page that shows the settings specific to you. These settings can include:
      • A real name, empty by default but is optional. If it is provided, it may be used to give you attribution for your work that you provide for the wiki.
      • Gender, set the neutral words by default but is optional. The MediaWiki software uses its value to address you, the user, and to mention you to others using the appropiate grammatical gender. It is public.

      • The forum has an option to track you via Google Analytics, which is disabled by default. This optional however only affects the forum and the analytics used throughout the rest of the website.
  • We give you control through your settings (as stated above) to limit the data we collect from you and how we use it, and to control things like account secruity, marketing preferences, apps that can access your account, and files that you may have uploaded to Atlas Industries.
